The newest Hudson has arrived…nearly 3 weeks early, too!

Check out her story HERE!

I love these two so very much. Seeing them enjoy moments, days, experiences (playing at the park on this fabulous fall day in this case) brings so much joy to this momma’s heart and soul.

It has just hit me the last week or so that my “baby”, Sydney, is not going to be THE baby much longer. She’s about to move into big-sisterhood and that is a change that is leaving me feeling quite emotional and nostalgic lately.

I find that my camera is focussed on her more these days… remembering, documenting, capturing these last weeks of her “babyhood.” When the actual baby in my belly joins us, and we become “Hudson, party of 5,” and Sydney becomes a big sister and a little sister all at once, and Adelaide puts on her “mommy hat.” (whether i like it or not) and life just morphs overnight… I will be excited. But I will miss the “Hudson, party of 4″ days as well. And my photographs of our family living and enjoying life together will bring me back to these days and memories. And I will smile. Maybe cry a little. Probably think, “wow…. it was so much easier managing two kids vs. three…. but oh, isn’t #3 just so DANG cute?!” Or something like that.

But mainly, I just want to remember today. And tomorrow. And yesterday.

We are certainly loving it here on the east coast this fall… the rain, the chilly air, the turning leaves do my soul good. I have been trying to get out into nature with my girls as much as possible… even if “nature” is the playground and park fields across the street from our house. And photographing fall colors wherever I can find them is one of my all time favorite things to do!

So here’s to fall, folks, in all its glory!

practicing the higher reach for a couple of upcoming apple picking adventures!

this is how i FEEL about fall… :)

and here’s to fall’s static air at the playgrounds! good times… even better photo op’s!
