I am just SLIGHTLY partial to this little one and his parents. :) Meet Than, my nephew, who just turned one last month. Has it been a whole year since THIS session?? Its been so fun living near family this season of our lives…. especially for milestones like these, and generally living life together. I also can’t wait for Than and Nadia to play more together as they get older. They are about 3 months apart. Than is about twice her size, but she makes up for it in attitude…. already. :) Welcome to life with girls….

But back to Than and his parents. :) We met up in their Capitol Hill neighborhood and we just hit up some fun spots with some amazing light in the neighborhood. The weather couldn’t be better. I heart the mid atlantic. :)

Yes, it was like the hottest day of the year so far. Yes, we were all alternately sweating and cooling off. Yes, it was rough.

But, OMG, just look at the result?!

Baby L was just a doll. A stoic doll (ha ha!) but a doll nonetheless. She is just a couple of weeks younger than Nadia, and it was so fun to see so many similar traits that seem to be pretty standard at 8 months of age.

The light, the family, the smile and laughter and the beach…. wow. Obviously they all amounted to an equation of near perfection! It was such a pleasure to meet you all, Rossotti family and help document this special time in your lives!

Meet Ollie. There are just no words to adequately describe his cuteness. And I have to say, he was one of THE best 9 week old models I have ever seen. All smiles and looks of pure wonder and cuteness. His parents and grandparents weren’t too bad themselves! :)

Karla contacted me just a week ago saying a neighbor had recommended me as a potential photographer. (shout out to Stacy the neighbor!!!) And it turns out that we are all practically neighbors. I love this place. I love the connections I make around here… at the park, on a neighborhood email listserve, via neighbors. I love that so many of my clients live literally within a 2 mile radius of me right now. :) Way to shop local, friends! :)

I love that Karla and Logan worked in some very sentimental and fun “props” to make the shoot even more memorable and personal. Not only are these images touching and nostalgic now, but in 10-15 years they will be simply priceless.

Without further adieu…..
