Well, I do believe it is time to resurface and rejoin the photography community at large. :)

It has been great to take a breather and have more focussed time at home with my three girls. What blessings they are!  Nadia is 4 months old and is such a treasure. She is peaceful, happy, content and just CHILL so much of the time.

Please stay tuned for some announcements in the coming weeks! Looking forward to “opening up shop” here in Maryland with all the gorgeous blooming trees and plants around! WOW.

While taking the break from business, I did get to pick up my camera for some special occasions….

First of all, back in December, I took some pictures of my lovely sister-in-law and her baby bump. This is their first and we were all so anxious and excited to meet the little fellow. John and I are so thankful to be living here in the DC metro area close to all three of his sisters. So here is the lovely Beth back in December:

and then here is the happy family of THREE come late February!

and then there was the Welcome Spring! Tea Party I hosted for some neighborhood little girls…  (click on the picture to see the full post about the party!!)

Well, it has come time to take a break in my photography business… Specifically, it is nearing time to give birth to my 3rd baby girl. I am in the process of wrapping up all loose ends, finishing albums, processing orders. I am not taking on any new business from here on out. I need to spend the upcoming months focussed on family life, adjusting to life with 3, and so on.

And I am definitely looking forward to the shift for this season. Lots of photo albums and memory books to complete (about 4+ years worth to be exact) as well as life to enjoy and document along the way. I am hoping to be able to open up shop sometime in the late spring of 2011, but will just take it one month at a time. :) Thanks for understanding! I plan to continue to post here once in a blue moon… personal stuff, business articles, photography tips etc. So stay tuned!

In the meanwhile, here is a peek at this photog-preggo-mama-to-be-(again). My friend and fellow budding photographer, Beth Berry, took these precious shots for me. And I am so thankful for them and thankful to Beth for capturing these moments before they are over.

I love that each pregnancy has represented a very specific season in our lives… and the pictures have always reflected that as well. Last pregnancy, it was all about our journey from living in Europe to moving back to the States. There was a suitcase, a european feel, and fast movement involved. Here are a couple from that pregnancy if you missed them (taken by Alyssa Welch)

This third pregnancy’s pictures have a very distictive FALLish and tranquil feel. And that is perfect. Since moving to Maryland, I have fallen in love with fall all over again. (check out my personal blog here for a nauseating amount of “i love fall” posts :) Life has seemed to slow a bit and my health has improved immeasureably since moving here. The softness and warmth of these images really resonate with where we are in life right now.

except for the bizarro look on my face (pain? fear? confusion?), i love this in black and white as it reminds me of the upcoming winter wonderland here. :)
